# How to play Word Chain

#### 1. On the Ricotta Home page, click on Word Chain

#### 2. Select your game mode - timed or untimed

The timed mode has a timer and has to be played together.\
The asynchronous or untimed mode does not have a timer and can be played at your own pace!

#### 3. Select your preferred channel to post in

#### 4. Next, select your preferred language

#### 5. Click on Submit

#### 6. Click on Start playing

#### 7. Join the game and wait for the host to start the game

#### 8. Click on Start Game once everyone has joined

#### 9. Type in the word in the box and press 'enter' to submit

#### 10. Once you press enter, it will be the other person's turn

#### 11. Keep building a word chain with your team

The game ends after 3 strikes (wrong spelling or if you run out of time in the timed mode) and the winner is declared.
