# How to auto-collect birthdays via DM

#### 1. Go to the Ricotta app home tab

#### 2. Click on Auto-collect in DMs

#### 3. You will receive a message granting permission

#### 4. Click on Send Now

#### 5. You will see information on how many DMs were sent, skipped and failed.

DMs will not be sent to users who have opted out

#### 6. A message will be sent to each user. in the Messages tab, prompting them to add their birthday or work anniversary dates
